Precision machining and forming process
Casting of cast iron wheel cores: Molten iron undergoes high-temperature processing in a melting furnace to form liquid metal, which is then injected into a preheated mold. During the pouring process, the speed and temperature must be controlled to avoid the formation of cracks. After cooling, the wheel core undergoes demolding and grinding to remove burrs and enhance surface finish. I assisted in operating a CNC lathe, performing micrometer-level precision machining on the inner and outer diameters of the wheel core, with errors controlled within 0.1 millimeters. This experience honed my operational skills and ability to control details.
Injection molding of nylon wheel body: Nylon material is molded at high temperature and high pressure in an injection machine to form a rough wheel body. Subsequently, through finishing processes such as turning and drilling, the dimensions are adjusted to meet design requirements. I am responsible for monitoring the injection molding parameters, ensuring precise temperature and time control, avoiding bubbles or deformation, and thus enhancing my process optimization ability.
