Surface treatment and corrosion resistance enhancement
Surface treatment is a crucial step in enhancing the durability of casters. Common methods include:
Electroplating process: Immerse the wheel body in a solution containing metal compounds, and attach metals through electric current to form a corrosion-resistant layer. I have learned the application of zinc plating and nickel-chromium alloy plating, which enhances the stability of products in humid environments.
Hot-dip galvanizing: Carbon steel components are immersed in a 510°C zinc bath to form an iron-zinc alloy layer, suitable for outdoor heavy-duty equipment. I participated in monitoring the temperature of the galvanizing bath to ensure the uniformity of the coating.
Mechanical plating: A process where metal powder impacts the surface to form a cold welding coating, suitable for small parts such as screws. This process has allowed me to master surface treatment technology that combines physics and chemistry.
